You can select any brand on the market (there are many of them), but make sure you download it from a reliable source, like the official webpage. Otherwise, you might be a scam victim. Don’t be!
For the purpose of this guide, we’ll use an imToken wallet. This one is available for Android and iOS, supports 11+ cryptos, and is kind of specialized in Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Dapps. If you prefer another brand or app, that’s fine too. Just make sure is legit and reliable before using it to handle your money. Follow the instructions in the app to create your first wallet.
How to quickly swap Ethereum (ETH) to Bitcoin (BTCAn abbreviation for Bitcoin.) on your phone
Of course, it might be other cryptos as well. Maybe you have some XRP and want to change it for Monero (XMR). That’s right too, and the process is basically the same. First, you need to copy the receiving crypto addressAn address is a blockchain equivalent to a bank account number in the traditional financial system, or an email address.... More. That’s in your wallet.
Since we want to obtain some BTC this time, look for the Bitcoin wallet and find the button to receive funds. On imToken, you can select your wallets in the upper left corner. After doing it, you’ll just slide to the right to find the address and QR codeA graphical representation of a public or private key. Now, go back and take a look at the lower screen options. On imToken, they’re “wallet”, “market”, “browser”, and “my profile”. Well, select the “browser” thing. You’ll find there a search box for Dapps (useful tools for your cryptos, including exchanges). Write “Alfacash” to discover our exchange in no time. Select it, and you’ll be sent to our platform.
Select here the cryptocurrencies of your convenience (ETH to BTC, in our case) and enter the amount you want to trade. Click on “Exchange”, we’re almost done!
Remember that BTC address on your clipboard? This is the moment to paste it in the proper space. And don’t forget to check if it’s exactly the same as before, you don’t want to be a victim of hackers, don’t you?
Once you click on “Exchange”, your Ethereum wallet on imToken automatically prompts the payment window. You only have to click “Send”, and your ETH will be exchanged to Bitcoin. You can even consult the payment info and the wallet addresses.
That’s it! Easy, right? If you want to send it directly to another ETH address (like your friend’s or shop’s), you’ll just need to select the wallet and slide to the left this time.
What if it’s not with imToken?
There are other multicurrency wallets, of course, and they work just slightly different from imToken. If you have another wallet, you’ll probably need to skip the “browser” option (not every wallet has it).
Instead, after copying the receiving address, go to the mobile version of your favorite exchange (like Alfacash) by using your usual reliable search engine (like Chrome or Firefox). Then, everything is the same again. You paste your receiving address in Alfacash, select the cryptos and the amount, click on “Exchange” and we’re done!
