Desde diciembre de 2017, no hemos visto el precio de Bitcoin tan cerca de su \u00faltimo m\u00e1ximo hist\u00f3rico (ATH). De hecho, fue una Navidad muy feliz porque alcanzamos durante alg\u00fan tiempo la asombrosa marca de 20.000 USD por moneda. Lamentablemente, despu\u00e9s de eso, el precio de Bitcoin solo baj\u00f3 y baj\u00f3, y apenas se detuvo en 3.200 USD un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s. Un choque duro y doloroso despu\u00e9s de tocar el cielo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por suerte para nosotros, parece que se acerca una nueva corrida de toros. Seg\u00fan CoinMarketCap, Bitcoin acaba de superar la marca de 15.000 USD nuevamente, lo que significa que solo quedan 33% para repetir el \u00faltimo ATH.<\/strong> El precio est\u00e1 en verde, subiendo a\u00fan m\u00e1s, y no est\u00e1 solo en esto. Altcoins<\/a> como Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Litecoin (LTC),<\/a> Cardano (ADA) y Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) est\u00e1n haciendo lo mismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las razones de esta carrera alcista se atribuyen al aumento del apoyo institucional para las criptomonedas (como adopci\u00f3n de PayPal<\/a>) y las publicitadas elecciones presidenciales en los Estados Unidos. El d\u00f3lar estadounidense es la moneda de referencia en todo el mundo y el pa\u00eds alberga una gran cantidad de importantes empresas de cifrado. Es por eso que los resultados de esta elecci\u00f3n podr\u00edan afectar de alguna manera al mercado de las criptomonedas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se dice que Donald Trump est\u00e1 en contra de las criptomonedas, mientras que Joe Biden ha mostrado una posici\u00f3n m\u00e1s neutral al respecto. Los resultados finales de las elecciones no est\u00e1n listos en el momento de escribir este art\u00edculo, pero parece que el candidato Joe Biden est\u00e1 tomando la iniciativa, y tal vez eso sea bueno para Bitcoin y sus compa\u00f1eros<\/strong>. Pero sigue as\u00ed hacia el futuro desde ahora ser\u00eda imprudente<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfSe est\u00e1 volviendo realidad una teor\u00eda de los precios?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

En diciembre de 2016, el actual arquitecto jefe de Blockchain en General Motors y entusiasta de Bitcoin, Michael B. Casey, comparti\u00f3 una interesante teor\u00eda de precios a largo plazo para la primera criptomoneda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo a su an\u00e1lisis<\/a>, Bitcoin tiene una marcada tendencia a sufrir grandes burbujas financieras<\/a>, cuyas etapas se pueden asimilar al ciclo de publicidad de Gartner, un sistema para representar la madurez de la nueva tecnolog\u00eda en la naturaleza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Son cinco etapas:<\/strong> Technology Trigger (lanzamiento y primeras pruebas del producto), Peak de expectativas infladas (publicidad m\u00e1s algo de \u00e9xito y algunos fracasos), Trough of Disillusionment (m\u00e1s fracasos y algunos inversores renunciando), Slope of Enlightenment (el producto comienza a ser m\u00e1s entendido y adoptado con cautela) y Plateau of Productivity (adopci\u00f3n generalizada).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Con el precio de Bitcoin<\/a>, hay cinco etapas equivalentes: Bull Run (aumento exuberante del precio), Exuberancia irracional (pico de la subida), Crash (ca\u00edda), Boring Low (el precio se estabiliza por un tiempo), Subida vol\u00e1til (pasos hacia una nueva subida) y Next Bull Run (reiniciando el ciclo).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para entonces (2016), Casey cont\u00f3 seis ciclos completos para esta teor\u00eda, terminando en 2017<\/strong> (no adivin\u00f3 el mes, pero tuvimos el \u00faltimo Bull Run en diciembre de ese a\u00f1o) y con a\u00f1os cada vez mayores entre ellos. Primero, fue un a\u00f1o (2010-2011), luego dos (2011-2013) y luego cuatro (2013-2017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfPodr\u00edan volver a ser cuatro para el pr\u00f3ximo 2021? Las pistas lo apuntan. Pero tendremos que esperar un poco m\u00e1s para averiguarlo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
