T\u00e9cnicamente, ya tuvimos Brexit en enero pasado. Sin embargo, actualmente (y hasta finales de diciembre) existe un \u201cper\u00edodo de adaptaci\u00f3n\u201d para los ciudadanos y las empresas, en el que el gobierno est\u00e1 trabajando en sus leyes y relaci\u00f3n con la Uni\u00f3n Europea para el futuro. Y una de las cosas que est\u00e1n preparando son nuevas regulaciones para las monedas estables y las monedas digitales del banco central (CBDC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo a una nuevo anuncio<\/a> by Her Majesty’s Treasury (HM Treasury), the UK is planning to remain as \u201can open, attractive international financial centre\u201d, and for that, entregar\u00e1n nuevas medidas con respecto a nuevas tecnolog\u00edas financieras, como monedas estables y CBDC.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, esperan atraer nuevos inversores extranjeros y empresas de tecnolog\u00eda financiera al pa\u00eds proporcionando informaci\u00f3n clara y regulaciones amigables<\/a>. Rishi Sunak, canciller del Tesoro de HM, coment\u00f3 al respecto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEstamos comenzando un nuevo cap\u00edtulo en la historia de los servicios financieros y renovando la posici\u00f3n del Reino Unido como el centro financiero preeminente del mundo. Al tomar tantas decisiones de equivalencia como podamos en ausencia de claridad por parte de la UE, estamos haciendo lo correcto para el Reino Unido y brindando a las empresas certeza y estabilidad \u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Se dice que las nuevas medidas pueden afectar a empresas, bancos, sociedades de cr\u00e9dito hipotecario, gestores de activos y aseguradoras de vida.<\/strong>. M\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo financiero, el Reino Unido tambi\u00e9n crear\u00e1 el primer Grupo de Trabajo sobre Divulgaciones Financieras Relacionadas con el Clima (TCFD) para cumplir con los objetivos ambientales, cuyas medidas comenzar\u00e1n a estar activas en 2023. Probablemente esto signifique que las medidas sobre las monedas estables estar\u00e1n listas para el mismo a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mientras tanto, el Tesoro estar\u00e1 en conversaciones con el Banco de Inglaterra para considerar la emisi\u00f3n general de CBDC en todo el mundo como un complemento al efectivo, y c\u00f3mo funcionar\u00edan dentro del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Respecto a las stablecoins<\/a>, consideran que estos pueden hacer que los pagos sean m\u00e1s baratos y r\u00e1pidos y planean "aprovechar los beneficios potenciales" de ello<\/strong>; aunque, tomando el control de los posibles riesgos creando un marco con est\u00e1ndares m\u00ednimos de emisi\u00f3n y uso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vale la pena mencionar que el mes pasado, la Autoridad de Conducta Financiera (FCA) prohibido en el pa\u00eds<\/a> los derivados financieros de criptomonedas para inversores minoristas, ya que no consideran seguros este tipo de instrumentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entonces, la nueva normativa puede llegar con algunas nuevas prohibiciones para las herramientas m\u00e1s riesgosas dentro del mundo de CBDC y stablecoins, tambi\u00e9n muy relacionadas con las de alto riesgo. Aplicaciones DeFi<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
