Hemos estado aqu\u00ed antes, hace tres a\u00f1os. Alrededor de estas fechas, exactamente, Bitcoin super\u00f3 un m\u00e1ximo hist\u00f3rico anhelado (ATH) con un precio superior a $20.000 y una capitalizaci\u00f3n de mercado de alrededor de $334B. Ahora, estamos viendo un nuevo r\u00e9cord: $20.836 por unidad seg\u00fan CoinMarketCap, y $20.815 por unidad registrada por CoinGecko.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s, la capitalizaci\u00f3n de mercado tambi\u00e9n es mayor, con m\u00e1s de $384B. Probablemente sea gracias a los inversores institucionales que han apostado por Bitcoin este a\u00f1o. Quiz\u00e1s el m\u00e1s grande de ellos es el fondo de cobertura en escala de grises<\/a>, que posee m\u00e1s de 500.000 BTC. MicroStrategy<\/a>, la empresa detr\u00e1s del software de inteligencia empresarial hom\u00f3nimo, fue otro inversor institucional este 2020. Con m\u00e1s de 38.250 BTC, equivalente a $795M, este es ahora su principal activo de reserva.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

El reciente Adopci\u00f3n de PayPal<\/a> Tambi\u00e9n ha contribuido, y el gestor de fondos brit\u00e1nico multimillonario Ruffer tambi\u00e9n salt\u00f3 dentro de la criptomoneda, justo antes del nuevo Bitcoin ATH. De acuerdo a una anuncio reciente<\/a>, compraron alrededor de $744M en BTC, equivalente a 2.5% de su cartera. Para ello, la empresa redujo su exposici\u00f3n al oro, y lo hizo como un "movimiento defensivo".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Algunas pistas apuntan a que otros inversores est\u00e1n haciendo lo mismo: intercambiar oro por Bitcoin como reserva de valor<\/strong>. Como lo indica el Commerzbank alem\u00e1n<\/a>, los inversores se est\u00e1n alejando de los ETF de oro, lo que da como resultado una ca\u00edda de 1% de ellos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mientras tanto, el banco multinacional de inversiones JPMorgan Chase considera que Bitcoin puede competir<\/a> "M\u00e1s intensamente" con el oro en un futuro pr\u00f3ximo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No podemos estar realmente seguros, pero las circunstancias son diferentes esta vez. En 2017, podemos decir que Bitcoin sufri\u00f3 una burbuja financiera, probablemente debido a la fiebre causada por las Ofertas Iniciales de Monedas.
