Bitcoin y las criptomonedas se est\u00e1n volviendo cada vez m\u00e1s populares y valiosos en estos d\u00edas, por lo que los piratas inform\u00e1ticos y los estafadores no los dejar\u00e1n pasar si tienen la oportunidad. Ahora, desarrollaron una nueva campa\u00f1a, incluido el marketing, para robar todos los criptos de las personas <\/strong>mediante el uso de algunas aplicaciones falsas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De acuerdo a un informe<\/a> compartido por la firma de ciberseguridad Intezer, un grupo de piratas inform\u00e1ticos construy\u00f3 desde cero un nuevo troyano de acceso remoto (RAT) para inyectarlo en el fondo de algunas aplicaciones de comercio y p\u00f3quer para Windows, Linux y macOS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Una vez que el usuario descarga esta aplicaci\u00f3n en sus dispositivos, la infecci\u00f3n comienza y los piratas inform\u00e1ticos pueden registrar cada pulsaci\u00f3n de tecla tecleada (keylogger), tomar capturas de pantalla, cargar archivos desde el disco, ejecutar comandos y, en \u00faltima instancia, vaciar las carteras de criptomonedas que encuentren en el dispositivo.<\/strong> Todo esto con pocos o ning\u00fan s\u00edntoma, hasta que es demasiado tarde. Esto se debe a que en realidad se instala una versi\u00f3n funcional de la aplicaci\u00f3n pretendida junto con el malware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Crypto-scam-trust-nadie\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Intezer denomin\u00f3 "ElectroRAT" a este virus porque las aplicaciones que utiliza para disfrazarse fueron creadas en la plataforma de construcci\u00f3n Electron. Espec\u00edficamente, ha utilizado las aplicaciones Jamm, DaoPoker y eTrade hasta ahora, pero puede haber m\u00e1s en la lista para robar criptos<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s del malware en s\u00ed, los piratas inform\u00e1ticos se han esforzado promover las aplicaciones falsas a trav\u00e9s de una campa\u00f1a de marketing en las redes sociales (Twitter y Telegram)<\/strong> y foros en l\u00ednea enfocados en criptos, como Bitcointalk y SteemCoinPan. Incluso pagaron a personas influyentes en las redes sociales para que promovieran las aplicaciones maliciosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Usando esta metodolog\u00eda, que incluye "registros de dominio, sitios web, aplicaciones troyanizadas, cuentas de redes sociales falsas y una nueva RAT no detectada", los piratas inform\u00e1ticos han robado con \u00e9xito miles de usuarios hasta ahora, en un lapso de un a\u00f1o entero<\/a> (donde no fueron detectados).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo evitar las aplicaciones que roban criptos?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Como indic\u00f3 Intezer, esta es una amenaza inusual, sofisticada y peligrosa dirigida directamente a todos los usuarios de criptomonedas. Sin embargo, en este caso, sus activos favoritos parecen ser Ethereum (ETH)<\/a> y tokens ERC-20, Monero (XMR), Litecoin (LTC) y Bitcoin (BTC).<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si cree que puede estar infectado, entonces debe eliminar todos los procesos relacionados con las aplicaciones maliciosas, eliminar los programas y archivos que las contienen<\/strong>, cambie todas sus contrase\u00f1as a trav\u00e9s de otro dispositivo y, si sus criptomonedas todav\u00eda est\u00e1n en sus billeteras locales, mu\u00e9valas inmediatamente a un software m\u00e1s seguro. Si puede restaurarlos en otra billetera (usando su clave privada), con otro dispositivo, mejor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Y no olvides evitar la tr\u00edada del mal te ense\u00f1amos antes<\/a>: no abra correos electr\u00f3nicos dudosos y mucho menos sus archivos adjuntos o enlaces, no realice descargas desde sitios web no oficiales y mantenga siempre actualizado su sistema operativo, software y otros dispositivos. No facilite el robo de sus criptomonedas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
