However, just after that, it decreased by over 17%. It hasn\u2019t recovered the first mark yet. The bitcoin price seems now inside the neutral ground, doubting between $45k and $48k. Meanwhile, <strong>altcoins like Avalanche (AVAX) and Cosmos (ATOM) hit new all-time highs (ATH)<\/strong>, and the dog-like coins are more and more trending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can remark that the last BTC crash occurred just after it officially adopted the status of legal tender in <a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2021\/06\/09\/el-salvador-new-legal-paradise-bitcoin-mining\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">El Salvador<\/a> (September 7). This is maybe because not all the citizens are satisfied with this measure. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/policy\/2021\/09\/16\/anti-bitcoin-demonstrations-rage-in-el-salvador-during-nations-independence-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">To date<\/a>, there are some protests against president Nayib Bukele and the Bitcoin adoption in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The protesters seem to think Bitcoin will work for corruption<\/strong> and all their money will vanish due to the high volatility in cryptocurrencies. Nevertheless, we must remember that the Bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2020\/08\/30\/dummies-what-is-blockchain-how-it-works\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blockchain<\/a> is public and transparent (<a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2020\/09\/07\/getting-rich-wrecking-most-popular-cryptocurrency-myths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not anonymous<\/a>), and the high volatility can make it a great investment (or can be eliminated with <a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2020\/12\/06\/stablecoins-and-types-an-easy-and-brief-lesson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stablecoins<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"El Salvador: Thousands march against President Bukele in San Salvador\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IWXYcMl1_qc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond these events<a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2021\/07\/11\/bitcoin-mining-exodus-from-china-new-countries-to-migrate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">, in China<\/a>, another region banned Bitcoin mining and trading: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/china\/chinas-hebei-province-clamp-down-cryptocurrency-mining-trading-2021-09-14\/\">Hebei<\/a>. This didn\u2019t disturb the market a lot, though. <a href=\"https:\/\/alternative.me\/crypto\/fear-and-greed-index\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">According to<\/a> the Crypto Fear and Greed Index, the general sentiment towards cryptos is currently neutral. Besides, as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/glassnodealerts\/status\/1437282392822140929\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Glassnode<\/a> described, around $1.2 billion went out from cryptocurrency exchanges recently. This means that the bigger holders are still resisting and the price could recover soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Bullish altcoins: AVAX, ATOM, and <\/strong>dogs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The native AVAX from the smart contract platform <strong>Avalanche hit a new ATH with over $70 per coin (+150% in the last month).<\/strong> That was probably because of a recent $230 million investment round, <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/avalancheavax\/polychain-capital-three-arrows-capital-lead-230m-investment-in-avalanche-ecosystem-1f0622fdf03a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">led by<\/a> crypto funds Polychain and Three Arrows Capital. Besides, several <a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2020\/09\/09\/how-to-make-thousands-dollars-defi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DeFi platforms<\/a> are using this blockchain now, since they integrated <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jayks17\/status\/1435289348853932044\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">compatibility<\/a> with Ethereum-like platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For its part, Cosmos (ATOM), another smart contract blockchain, hit its own ATH: $38.7 per coin, with an increase of over 100% in the last month [CoinMarketCap]. Curiously enough, the reason behind this increase could be similar to Avalanche. Earlier this year, the functionality dubbed Inter-Blockchain Communications Protocol (IBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslate.com\/increasing-ibc-transactions-show-cosmos-atom-ecosystem-is-booming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">was launched<\/a> in this platform to make a bridge with the others. Elon Musk, famous for his tweets about Dogecoin, <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinist.com\/only-in-crypto-picture-of-elon-musks-pet-shiba-inu-sends-dog-themed-coins-surging-1000\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">recently<\/a> welcomed home a literal Shiba Inu named \u201cFloki\u201d. The crypto world didn\u2019t lose the chance, <strong>and the newborn token Shiba Floki (FLOKI) increased by over 1,000%, <\/strong>while there are, at least, other four tokens named after \u201cFloki\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2021\/01\/29\/gamestop-dogecoin-reddit-how-profit-with-meme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dogecoin (DOGE)<\/a> didn\u2019t join the bullish trend, still on $0.2 per token.
