P\u00e5 den siste rapporten "Internet Organised Crime Threat Assessment" (IOCTA), identifiserte Europol digitale lommeb\u00f8ker, \u00e5pne markeder og desentraliserte kryptovalutaer fokusert p\u00e5 personvern som \u00e5rets \u201cviktigste trusler\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disse systemene vil representere en risiko, if\u00f8lge Europol<\/a>, gitt deres anonymitet og enkel tilgang. Personvernmetoder som CoinJoin og miksere gir en betydelig forbedring i denne forstand for brukernes transaksjoner, noe som vil lette ulovlig virksomhet og hvitvasking av penger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Like m\u00e5te, noen desentraliserte markeder rettet mot privat og ubegrenset handel har blitt inkludert i truslene fra Europol<\/strong>. P\u00e5 et tidspunkt valgte mange Darknet-kriminelle Bitcoin som deres foretrukne betalingsm\u00e5te for deres urolige transaksjoner<\/a>. Selv i dag er det allment antatt at nettkriminelle fortsetter \u00e5 gjemme seg bak anonym cryptocurrency-teknologi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imidlertid gjorde Europol selv det klart at Bitcoin fortsatt er den foretrukne kryptovalutaen for disse forbrytelsene, selv om den er gjennomsiktig, offentlig og sporbar<\/strong>: alle med en transaksjons-ID eller lommebokadresse kan finne alle dataene i en blockchain-utforsker. Derfor ser det ikke ut til at personvern virkelig er hovedproblemet i disse tilfellene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitcoin var en gang stjernen i underverdenen og kanskje fortsatt omgitt av myten<\/a> av \u00e5 v\u00e6re en valuta for hackere. Den tiden har imidlertid g\u00e5tt lenge, og ingenting viser det bedre enn de samme nettkriminelle som leter etter flere private alternativer, som ransomware-gruppen Sodinokibi<\/a> (som endrer seg for Monero).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selvf\u00f8lgelig er selv disse minst, ettersom det meste av de skitne pengene fortsatt blir hvitvasket gjennom tradisjonelle kontanter.
