Nou, dat is als je een &quot;slimme&quot; koffiemachine hebt, wat in feite betekent dat het spul toegang heeft tot internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hebben vandaag een teleurstellend feit. Internet of Things (IoT)-apparaten, oftewel alledaagse voorwerpen - zoals koelkasten, gloeilampen, sloten ... en koffiemachines - met de mogelijkheid om verbinding te maken met internet, zijn niet precies de top van cyberbeveiliging. Slechts gedurende zes maanden in 2019 heeft het cyberbeveiligingsbedrijf Kaspersky Lab <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.checkpoint.com\/2020\/07\/23\/while-iot-security-standards-lag-iot-security-companies-innovate-overview-of-trends-in-iot-cyber-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">gedetecteerd<\/a> 105 miljoen aanvallen op dit soort apparaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nu <a href=\"https:\/\/decoded.avast.io\/martinhron\/the-fresh-smell-of-ransomed-coffee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Martin Hron<\/a>, senior onderzoeker bij Avast, <strong>ontdekte dat elke simpele hacker op afstand de volledige controle over een slimme koffiemachine kan stelen<\/strong>. Dus op een dag zou je kunnen denken dat je geesten in huis hebt, omdat het koffiezetapparaat zich demonisch en bezeten zou gedragen, gekookt water zou spugen en rare emoticons op het flikkerende scherm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Zo ziet een gehackte koffiemachine eruit.\" width=\"770\" height=\"433\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bJrIh94RSiI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Er zou echter snel een dreigende aankondiging op het scherm verschijnen, waarin een losgeld voor cryptocurrency wordt ge\u00ebist om de controle over uw koffie te herstellen of schaamteloos aangeeft dat het ding aan het minen is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alfa.cash\/buy\/monero\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Monero<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit betekent dat je geen kans hebt om je koffie daar vandaan te halen, maar in plaats daarvan een totale puinhoop in je keuken hebt. Het zou nodig zijn om in de nabije toekomst de stekker eruit te trekken... of het losgeld te betalen <a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2020\/08\/18\/what-is-cryptocurrency-why-should-care-reasons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in cryptovaluta<\/a>. Maar, zou je?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Is dit serieus?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Gelukkig is het hele proces van de koffiemachine-hack door Hron zelf gemaakt, om te bewijzen dat de <a href=\"https:\/\/alfacash.blog\/2020\/09\/07\/getting-rich-wrecking-most-popular-cryptocurrency-myths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">zogenaamde mythe<\/a> dat &quot;de bedreiging voor IoT-apparaten niet alleen is om toegang te krijgen via een zwakke router of blootstelling aan internet, maar dat een IoT-apparaat zelf kwetsbaar is en gemakkelijk kan worden eigendom zonder het netwerk of de router te bezitten&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En dat is precies wat hij deed met een Smarter koffiemachine. Vergis je niet: \u201cSmarter\u201d is het merk (en blijkbaar niet zo slim). Het beste wat je eraan kunt doen, is zelf de firmware controleren met hulp van een expert, of offline een paar vintage huishoudelijke apparaten gebruiken.
