Tegen de mythe in, is Bitcoin (BTC) niet echt een anonieme valuta. Dat is de reden waarom er andere activa zijn ontstaan onder de menigte van de cryptocurrency-markt, die verschillende methoden biedt om volledig anonieme transacties te garanderen. Helaas is dit niet naar ieders smaak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vorige maand, Europol verklaarde:<\/a> dat privacymethoden in cryptocurrency, zoals digitale portemonnees, open markten en gedecentraliseerde activa gericht op privacyfuncties, een bedreiging kunnen vormen voor criminele activiteiten. Nu, deze scepsis blijft groeien, omdat meer crypto-uitwisselingen zich aansluiten bij het stille verbod op privacymunten in verschillende landen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vormverschuiving is de laatste toevoeging<\/a> op de lijst, omdat het Monero (XMR) en Dash van zijn handelsplatform heeft verwijderd. Beide bieden privacyfuncties aan hun gebruikers en worden wereldwijd op grote schaal verhandeld. Erik Voorhees, CEO van de beurs, verzekerde dat hij op dit moment geen commentaar kan geven op waarom deze beslissing is genomen, maar het huidige regelgevingslandschap is een grote gok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Een paar dagen geleden stelde de EU-ministerraad in een nieuwe resolutie<\/a> om end-to-end encryptie in digitale communicatiemiddelen te verwijderen<\/strong>, zoals WhatsApp, Telegram, Zoom en Signaal. Voor hen zou dit een beveiligingsmaatregel zijn, bedoeld om het werk van de autoriteiten in strafzaken te vergemakkelijken. Voor anderen zou dit een flagrante schending van de privacy zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het is voorlopig onzeker of dit slechts een inleiding is om privacymunten in de EU en andere regio's te verbieden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tegen privacy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Italia overweegt dit verbod sinds 2016, India sinds 2018 en Japan deed het effectief in hetzelfde jaar. Australi\u00eb is de laatste geweest<\/a>, zo niet door enige offici\u00eble wet, vanwege regelgevende en bankdruk gedurende de laatste maanden, zoals aangekondigd door de Australische beurs Swyftx.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zuid-Koreaanse autoriteiten doen mee<\/a> ook aan de tendens, door vanaf volgend jaar elke handel met privacymunten te verbieden<\/strong>. Als een ernstig gevolg van dit alles hebben beurzen zoals Bithumb, Coinspot, Huobi, Coincheck, Upbit en Liquid privacymunten zoals Monero, Dash, Komodo en Bytecoin verwijderd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Crypto-derivaten-ban-UK\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ondertussen, in de Verenigde Staten<\/a>, de belastingdienst (IRS) toegekend<\/a> +$1M aan blockchain-analysebedrijven Chainalysis en Integra FEC om het privacysysteem van Monero te doorbreken. Ook het Amerikaanse bedrijf CipherTrace<\/a> ontwikkelt een tool om transacties in Monero te volgen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het lijkt erop dat dit het moment is voor regeringen en autoriteiten over de hele wereld om hun standpunten over privacymunten te overwegen. Voorlopig echter, Monero en zijn collega's kunnen nog steeds worden verhandeld op tal van beurzen,<\/strong> zoals onze non-custodial Alfacash<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
