XRP staat al jaren in de eerste rijen per marktkapitalisatie onder cryptocurrencies. Momenteel bezet het de derde plaats, zeer dicht bij Ethereum (ETH) en Bitcoin (BTC). Ondanks dit heldere feit is de XRP-prijs al lange tijd niet bullish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De afgelopen zeven dagen waren echter een race-up voor de valuta. De prijs begon bij 0,29 USD en stijgt nu naar meer dan 0,69 USD en loopt nog steeds. Dit vertegenwoordigt een stijging van 137% alleen in de afgelopen week.<\/strong> De marktkapitalisatie is ook meer dan verdubbeld, van $13.6B naar $31.5B, wat een stijging van 131% betekent; volgens CoinMarketCap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Verhoog-glimlach-valuta\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Zelfs geen Bitcoin aan zijn nieuwe stier<\/a> run heeft deze percentages. In het geval van de huidige XRP-prijs zou de belangrijkste reden hiervoor verband houden met nieuwe positieve crypto-voorschriften<\/a> in de Verenigde Staten. Afgelopen 20 november publiceerde het Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) van het Amerikaanse ministerie van Financi\u00ebn een voorstel<\/a> van nieuwe richtlijnen voor financi\u00eble instellingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het komt erop neer dat: de nationale banken kunnen hun diensten niet weigeren aan legale (maar ongunstige) bedrijven, zoals bedrijven die met cryptocurrencies werken<\/strong>, zonder telkens de specifieke risico's te beoordelen. Onder deze bedrijven hebben we het Amerikaanse Ripple Labs, oprichter en belangrijkste gebruiker van XRP in hun grensoverschrijdende zakelijke transacties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Momenteel hebben +300 financi\u00eble instellingen in +40 landen over de hele wereld zich aangesloten bij het RippleNet-platform om snellere grensoverschrijdende transacties uit te voeren met behulp van, precies, de XRP-cryptoasset<\/a> voordat u het geld omwisselt in lokale valuta. Dankzij het nieuwe juridische voorstel in de VS zou dit werk voor Ripple Labs en XRP nog eenvoudiger en opener kunnen worden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gelukkig willen niet alleen de Amerikaanse toezichthouders dit blockchain-ecosysteem laten groeien. als rimpel onlangs beschreven<\/a>, Peter Kerstens, adviseur bij de Europese Commissie en covoorzitter van de FinTech Task Force, benadrukte de noodzaak van goede regelgeving die de ontwikkeling niet afremt:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGereguleerde financi\u00eble instrumenten trekken doorgaans gereguleerde financi\u00eble instellingen aan. Het ontbreken van een regelgevend kader is naar mijn mening een van de redenen waarom we dit niet verder hebben ontwikkeld (\u2026) In plaats van onze wetgeving op een negatieve manier toe te passen om activiteiten te verbieden [ willen we] een regelgevend kader cre\u00ebren dat maakt [innovatie] mogelijk, maar natuurlijk ook ... zorgt voor marktintegriteit, financi\u00eble stabiliteit en beleggersbescherming."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ondertussen worden RippleNet en XRP door verschillende topbedrijven als handige tools gebruikt. Namen als Santander, Standard Chartered, MoneyGram, SBI Remit, American Express en zelfs NGO's zoals Mercy Corps zijn opgenomen in deze services, wat zorgt voor meer liquiditeit en gemeenschap<\/a> voor deze valuta.
