Op 20 januari 2022 heeft de Centrale Bank van de Russische Federatie (CBR) een rapport uitgebracht: om aan te dringen op een volledig cryptoverbod<\/strong> binnen Rusland.<\/strong> Dit is natuurlijk niet de eerste keer dat de financi\u00eble instelling probeert in te gaan tegen cryptocurrencies in het algemeen. Eerder noemden ze mogelijke risico's voor particuliere beleggers en ook voor de nationale financi\u00eble soevereiniteit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deze keer is het niet veel anders. In het rapport<\/a> getiteld "Cryptocurrency-risico's en mogelijke regelgevende maatregelen", beweert de bank dat het gebruik van cryptocurrencies risico's kan inhouden voor de Russische burgers en financi\u00eble stabiliteit. Bovendien zijn ze van mening dat cryptocurrencies en stablecoins worden gebruikt in illegale activiteiten<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Momenteel hebben Russische crypto-gebruikers te maken met strikte beperkingen<\/strong>. Ze kunnen goederen en diensten niet betalen met crypto, en elke niet-aangegeven<\/a> meer dan $1.300 aanhouden is zelfs 40%. Bovendien, overheidsfunctionarissen zijn niet toegestaan<\/a> om cryptocurrencies te bezitten, en zij grijpen<\/a> elke illegale cryptocurrency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Crypto-verbod-Rusland-2022\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Die maatregelen zijn blijkbaar niet genoeg voor de centrale bank. Ze willen elke transactie met cryptocurrencies verbieden, vooral die tegen lokale valuta, waaronder een hardhandig optreden tegen crypto-uitwisselingen. Inderdaad, sinds vorige maanden werkt het CBR samen met andere nationale banken vertragen<\/a> cryptogeld betalingen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mining van cryptovaluta<\/a> is ook niet welkom bij de bank. Volgens hen vormt cryptomining een risico voor het nationale energiesysteem. Het beste zou dus een volledig verbod op dergelijke activiteiten zijn. Het enige dat ze zouden toestaan, zou de... het bezit van cryptocurrencies door hun burgers in buitenlandse jurisdicties<\/strong>. Integendeel, binnen Rusland<\/a>, zouden ze cryptotransacties volgen en juridische maatregelen nemen tegen de handelaren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gelukkig is het cryptoverbod momenteel nauwelijks een voorstel in Rusland. Of je het nu neemt of niet hangt af van de Doema en de Federatieraad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crypto in Rusland<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ondanks de juridische vijandelijkheden is Rusland een van de landen met meer gebruikers van cryptocurrency<\/a> wereldwijd. EEN recente enqu\u00eate<\/a> kwam er zelfs achter dat ongeveer 77% van Russische investeerders geeft de voorkeur aan crypto boven goud en Forex<\/strong>. Bovendien, aangezien China's crypto-optreden in 2021<\/a>, vloog een enorm percentage van de Bitcoin-mijnwerkers van daaruit naar Rusland, wat een bijna alternatief is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vervolgens, uiterlijk in augustus 2021 [CBECI<\/a>] werd dit land de op twee na grootste Bitcoin-mijnwerker ter wereld. Enkele Russische experts en nationale leden van de industrie hebben uitgesproken<\/a> tegen zo'n actie. Samengevat geloven ze dat een volledig crypto-verbod zal Rusland alleen technologisch vertragen<\/strong>, buitenlandse investeerders afschrikken en zelfs jonge talenten en ondernemers ertoe aanzetten om ook te migreren. De gevolgen zouden uiteindelijk economisch zijn, terwijl de crypto-industrie nauwelijks uit het land zou verdwijnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In de tussentijd staat het CBR in ieder geval tot 1 maart 2022 open voor opmerkingen en suggesties voor dit voorstel. En het lijdt geen twijfel dat elke cryptospeler in het land veel veranderingen zal voorstellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
