Despite the good news, <strong>this could suggest that a Bitcoin price correction is coming<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">An increase in mining difficulty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, January 15, the difficulty level of Bitcoin mining had a readjustment that brought this value to 37.59 trillion. <strong>This new value is 10% higher than the previous one<\/strong>, which stood at 34 trillion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> mining difficulty increased by 10.26%, to an ATH!<br><br>\ud83d\udd0bIn this 2-week cycle, If <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24BTC&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$BTC<\/a> can go up above $23,000, machines that are more efficient than 40W\/T can be running with profits at the electricity of $0.08\/kWh. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/s005nNvAHu\">pic.twitter.com\/s005nNvAHu<\/a><\/p>&mdash; f2pool \ud83d\udc1f (@f2pool_official) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/f2pool_official\/status\/1614832488370798592?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 16, 2023<\/a><\/blockquote><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As we mentioned earlier, miners found the most recent bear cycle in the Bitcoin price challenging. As a result, some cryptocurrency mining companies filed for bankruptcy last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the current level of Bitcoin mining difficulty represents a new ATH. This can mean general good news for the miners and the Bitcoin price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Difficulty expresses how much processing power is required to solve the hash to mine a block. Thus, it is automatically adjusted every 2016 blocks (or approximately every two weeks) based on the power of the miners connected to the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u7684 <a href=\"https:\/\/data.hashrateindex.com\/network-data\/btc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">processing power<\/a> of the network, or Bitcoin hashrate, went from 245 EH\/s on January 2 to 272.21 EH\/s at the time of writing. This increase could be related to the rise in the Bitcoin Price and how many miners returned to profitability and reconnected their equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Historically, increasing difficulty in mining has come hand in hand with higher prices for the crypto asset.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A paradigm shift<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past nine months, overall crypto market sentiment had been low.
